How to fold the wind
with Renaissance music by John Sheppard, John Taverner, and from the Eton Choirbook
The Dunedin Consort is one of Scotland’s most precious and internationally-renowned musical organisations. A string of award-winning recordings, especially of the music of Bach and Handel, has made it one of the most admired vocal and instrumental ensembles of its kind in the world, sought after by the most prestigious festivals.
We are thrilled to present Dunedin’s 16 professional singers in a richly varied a cappella programme that spans the centuries. New York-based composer Caroline Shaw’s mesmerising, origami-inspired work underpins a programme of polyphony that also encompasses the beauties of English Renaissance music.
"Goldscheider [is] becoming a musical Bear Grylls, fearlessly leaping through its dangerous terrain. You find yourself with him every step of the way."
