Named by composer Steve Reich as “one of the greatest musicians in the world” and performing internationally with such orchestras as the London Philharmonic, Royal Concertgebouw and New York Philharmonic, Colin Currie has rightly been described by Gramophone magazine as “at the summit of percussion performance today.” He has commissioned leading composers, from James MacMillan to Danny Elfman and combines his busy solo career with leading his own Colin Currie Group and conducting major orchestras.

Colin’s virtuosity will be on full display in this exciting programme which includes a brand new work from young English composer Dani Howard, whose music Gramophone magazine described as ‘luminous and effervescent’. Psappha by Xenakis, a percussion classic, makes a fitting climax.
